Kellan Lutz Workout
I was doing some more research and I found Some info about the Kellan Lutz Workout he used to get in shape for the hit movie The Immortals. It seems as though kellan is a big fan of body weight workouts.
What Is The Kellan Lutz Workout?
The Kellan Lutz Workout is essentially being called the Immortals Workout because it is what he used to get in shape for his role in the fall blockbuster hit “The immortals”. There wasn’t a whole lot of info in regards to what Kellan did for training, but I did find a youtube video that showed him doing a lot of Body Weight Calisthenics.
What Exercises Are Used In The Kellan Lutz Workout?
Throughout the youtube video Kellan did a lot of variations of these exercises:
- Pushups – Basic, clapping, feet elevated, hands Elevated, etc.
- Pullups – Wide Grip, narrow grip, palms in, palms out, etc..
- Dips – Wide and close grip
- Situps – he did full range hanging from beams and weighted with medicine balls
- squats and lunges
- sprinting and jumping – he did a lot of athletic based explosive movements
How Can You Incorporate The Kellan Lutz Workout?
To achieve the look of Kellan Lutz in the immortals I would focus on a lot of upperbody gym workouts using mainly these exercises…
Incline Dumbbell Press – To add size to upper chest
Dips – To add width to the upper chest
shoulder raises – To add width to give illusion of a v-taper
tricep work – To Add size to arms
I would then follow up your upper body workouts with a circuit of the exercises listed above for what is called a metabolic conditioning routine. An Example would look like this…
- Pushup x 20
- pullups x 5
- situps x 20
- dips x 10
- squats x 10
Do those exercises in a row as fast as possible and repeat for 5 sets after your upper body workouts to achieve a fat burning effect like the kellan lutz workout he used to get in shape for the immortals.
